Seniors, Saddle Up for the National Senior Citizen Day Extravaganza 2025!

Sylacauga, AL – Get ready to kick up your heels and celebrate in true Western style at the National Senior Citizen Day Extravaganza 2025! Hosted by the Maxye Veazey Senior Center, this year’s theme is “It’s a Rodeo!”, and it’s shaping up to be the rootin’-tootin’-most fun event of the year for our senior community.

Mark your calendars for Thursday, August 21 at 1:00 PM as we turn the J. Craig Smith Community Center Gymnasium into a high-spirited hoedown complete with games, dancing, refreshments, and more. From a lively dance session to a fabulous Western-themed fashion show, a talent showcase, bingo, raffles, and plenty of giveaways, there will be something for everyone to enjoy.

Come dressed to impress in your best cowboy or cowgirl gear—prizes will be awarded for Best Dressed Male and Female. Whether you’ve got the moves for the dance floor or a hidden talent to show off, this celebration is the perfect time to shine.
