The position patrols designated areas, checks the security of various buildings, makes arrests, issues traffic, and non-traffic citations, completes reports, attends court, serves warrants, and attends all required training. Must have a high school diploma or GED, must hold or can obtain APOST certification, must be 21 years of age, and possess a valid Alabama driver's license with a driving record suitable for insurability.
