The City of Sylacauga has an immediate opening for a full-time Mechanic. Duties related to repair/maintenance of vehicles, equipment, and public transportation vehicles. Experience with engine repair, transmission, brake, electrical/electronic systems, heating and air-conditioning, drive train/axles, suspension, and steering. High School diploma or GED required. ASE-approved certifications require red. Must have a valid Alabama driver’s license. Must work some holidays and weekends when needed. Must submit to a background check, pre-employment, and random drug testing. $ 42,931.20 annual pay. Great benefits include free single health/dental coverage and retirement.
