Majestic Caverns, formerly known as DeSoto Caverns, is one of the most historic cave attractions in the United States. Officially documented in federal records in 1796 through correspondence connected to President George Washington, the caverns feature guided cave tours with gemstone-quality onyx formations, a natural underground waterfall, and a constant 60-degree temperature year-round. Located in Childersburg, Alabama, Majestic Caverns welcomes visitors from all 50 states and around the world and offers family attractions, educational field trips, homeschool programs, scout adventures, group experiences, a campground, gift shop, café, and seasonal events.
