Sylacauga Parks & Recreation is excited to announce Eggs & Entrepreneurs: Hoppy Little Makers Market and Egg Hunt, a fun-filled spring event combining a FREE community Easter Egg Hunt with a special market designed just for young entrepreneurs - sponsored by Dale Price for District Judge!
The event will take place on Saturday, March 21, at Noble Park, beginning at 10:00 AM with the annual Easter Egg Hunt. The egg hunt is free to attend and open to children, providing families a festive and memorable way to celebrate the season together. The children will be divided into groups by age (1-4 years, 5-8 years, 9-12 years) for the hunt. Pre-registration is not required for this portion of the event.
Following the egg hunt, families are invited to stay and enjoy the Hoppy Little Makers Market, which will run until 12:00 PM. This unique market is exclusively for children ages 12 and under who want to showcase and sell items they have created themselves.
Young vendors may sell handmade goods such as artwork, jewelry, crafts, baked items, clothing designs, and more. The market is designed to encourage creativity, build confidence, and introduce children to basic entrepreneurial skills in a supportive and family-friendly environment. Parents are welcome to assist their children throughout the experience.
Booth spaces are available for $10 per 10x10 space. A table can be provided upon request; however, vendors are responsible for bringing their own tents, chairs, and payment methods for merchandise sales. Sylacauga Parks & Recreation will handle advertising and promotion for the market. Parents may reserve their child’s booth space at sylacauga.recdesk.com, over the phone at 256.249.8561, or in-person at the J. Craig Smith Community Center front desk.
Vendor spaces are limited and early registration is encouraged.
