Sylacauga Parks and Recreation invites the community to celebrate the grand opening of
Courtside Park with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Friday, May 8 at 10:30 AM at 707 North
Norton Ave., Sylacauga, AL 35150.
Courtside Park, a new recreational space designed for players of all ages and skill levels,
features eight fenced pickleball courts, a fenced basketball court, a pavilion with seating, a
filtered water station, restrooms, and open green space.
Following the ribbon cutting, the basketball and pickleball courts will be open for play.
Pelican’s Snoballs will also be on-site providing complimentary treats for attendees.
The park will be open to the public seven days a week from 6:00 AM to 9:00 PM. The
pavilion is available for rental for events such as birthday parties, and pickleball courts may
be reserved for tournaments.
